Summer Celebrations
In May we welcomed guests to escape from the bustle of the streets below and to enjoy a seasonal reception on our sixth floor.
Attendees were treated to a relaxed outdoor celebration across the main terrace room as the sun lingered high over our two stunning open-air terraces with views over the iconic London skyline. Together with agents, event buyers and private clients we showcased our seasonal menus and deluxe package options designed to be versatile and innovative for a variety of events.
Circulating canapes and seasonal afternoon teas were on display incorporating traditional and winter delights; including char-grilled chicken, spinach, avocado and crispy bacon light bites, moorish Guinness braised beef croquettes, mini strawberries and cream choux buns to homemade golden sultana and buttermilk scone, served with Cornish clotted cream and apricot compote.
Guests experienced live stations with bio-dynamic wine tasting from Ellis Wines, whilst Head Chef Andrew Finch served variety of vegan ice cream flavours including chocolate miso, mango and green tea matcha in mini cones.
Nothing says quintessential English summer like a glass of Pimm’s… so here at Events @ No 6 we put our own experiential twist on the classic beverage. Greeting guests on arrival where bespoke, crystal martini glasses filled with a vodka, lemonade, mint and diced fruits infused granita with a reverse spherification Pimm’s sphere dotted in the centre. Guests were encouraged to either pop the sphere in the glass or in their mouth to get a invigorating sip of summer.
General Manager, Martin Goralczyk created and enticed us with a 'Purple Rain' cocktail that turns from a deep navy blue to shades of violet and lilac as its poured! Made with vodka, Maraschino, Asian butterfly pea tea, ginger and lemon cordial, it's an excellent arrival drink to wow and engage your guests with.
Stylish decor was set inside and out with Velvet Living’s blue stain and copper topped bars, yellow and blue velvet Tribeca sofas, mirror topped poseurs and glass topped copper coffee-tables which were decorated with bright shades of white, pink, purple and green flowers from Pinstripes and Peonies. Fragrant sweet peas, lavender, roses and large sprawling palm leaves dominated the room as candle lit storm lanterns and pink LED up lighters lined the entrance and room thanks to Delta Live .
So if you're looking to hire rooftop venue in London with access to stunning views for formal and informal receptions, fine dining, meetings and away days then our Terrace Room is the prime spot in the City for your event.
