Environmental impact

The design of the building has also taken the following steps taken to minimise our impact on the environment:

  • High-level windows on each floor that will open at night and allow air to cool the concrete ceilings, therefore keeping the building cool the following day. 

  • The building will have a living roof that will provide a habitat for local birds and insects and reduce the volume of rainwater run-off.

  • 2019 Academic Venue Awards ‘Best Sustainability’ finalist.

  • In-house caterers, Vacherin, has achieved numerous accolades for their efforts to support people and planet.
